Thatch Brushing
The most commonly required Thatch maintenance is Brushing. It is a vital part of maintenance and recommended be done once a year. We regularly have specials on this service, make sure to ask about them
Overthatch & Rethatch
This is a slightly more robust repair for older and worn thatches due to standard decay or age, or due to neglect on the maintenance side. Either a strip/remove and replacement of reeds / or layer top up reeds to be done. If done correctly, this only needs to be done once every 10 years or more. Especially if Thatch Treatment was applied.
Thatch Treatment (Certified and/or Standard)
This is a Thatch Treatment (Certified or Standard) that is weather resistant, fire resistant and bug resistant. It increases the longevity of the Thatch significantly and greatly reduces maintenance requirements in the future. Certified Treatment for insurance purposes need to be done by an Approved Installer.
